The Inovo Brass-Core Oxygen Regulator (Model IN3625-R) is a commercial-grade, click-style high-pressure medical gas regulator engineered to safely step down the pressure from compressed oxygen cylinders to usable therapeutic flow levels. Built specifically for demanding clinical, ambulatory, and emergency medical service (EMS) environments, the IN3625-R features a robust all-brass core construction wrapped inside an impact-resistant anodized aluminum outer shell. This specialized dual-material architecture ensures that all high-pressure conduits and gas-path components remain 100% solid brass, providing maximum protection against the risk of frictional ignition or catastrophic oxygen fires.

Operating under standard high-pressure cylinder constraints up to 3,000 PSI, this click-style regulator utilizes a precise, calibrated rotary flow dial to offer an expanded therapy spectrum ranging from 0.5 up to 25.0 Liters Per Minute (LPM). Its design incorporates an ergonomic, five-lobed T-handle for tool-free installation onto CGA 870 post-valve cylinders, alongside a durable, heavy-duty barb outlet for standard oxygen tubing.

Design & Functional Features

  • Elite Fire-Safe Brass Core: Combines the structural weight savings of a sleek aluminum outer body with the unmatched safety profile of a solid brass interior core, preventing ignition risks under extreme pressure.
  • Extended High-Flow Window (0.5–25 LPM): Features a distinct, click-stop dial that locks firmly into place at every setting, accommodating both low-flow nasal cannula therapies and emergency high-flow resuscitation devices.
  • Ergonomic Smart-Grip T-Handle: Outfitted with an extra-large, textured five-lobed tightening knob that allows healthcare providers and users to securely tighten the regulator onto a cylinder post-valve without a separate wrench.
  • Internal Sintered Bronze Filter: Houses a specialized micron-level filter inside the inlet port to trap microscopic debris, scale, and environmental particulates before they can reach the internal valve mechanism.

Important Product Characteristics

  • The High-Flow Clinical Advantage: While standard home care regulators typically max out at 8 or 15 LPM, the IN3625-R expands its capacity to 25 LPM. This makes it ideal for driving specialized high-flow accessories, non-rebreather emergency masks, or providing high-volume oxygen to unstable respiratory situations.
  • Defensive Safety Relays: Built with an integrated internal relief valve that automatically vents safe margins of pressure if the downstream line becomes kinked, blocked, or over-pressurized, protecting both the hardware and the user.
  • Application Notice: This regulator must be operated strictly by or on the order of a licensed physician. It is intended only for regulated medical oxygen cylinders and should never be exposed to oil, grease, or flammable solvents, which can cause an explosive reaction when coming into contact with compressed oxygen.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

Why is a "Brass Core" regulator safer than a standard aluminum regulator?

Pure aluminum can become a source of fuel if an internal particle strike creates a friction spark under high pressure (2,000+ PSI), potentially leading to a dangerous regulator fire. Brass does not readily ignite or support combustion in high-pressure oxygen environments. The Inovo brass core ensures that the oxygen gas path only touches brass, keeping you safe while using a lightweight aluminum exterior casing.

What cylinder tanks does this regulator fit?

This regulator is designed with a standard CGA 870 connection, which is the universal connection type for medical post-valve cylinders. It fits seamlessly onto standard portable ambulatory tanks such as M6, M9, C, D, and E oxygen cylinders. It will not fit large stationary cylinders (like H or M tanks) that require a threaded CGA 540 connection.

How often should the sealing washer be replaced?

The nylon or brass-jacketed Viton sealing washer (yoke washer) creates the airtight seal between your tank post and the regulator pins. It should be inspected before every tank swap. If it appears cracked, compressed, or worn down, replace it immediately to prevent leaks. It is highly recommended to swap out the washer every 3 to 6 months for personal users.

Can I run a bubble humidifier bottle on this regulator?

Yes, but because this regulator outputs gas through a standard metal hose barb, you will need a specialized female DISS hose adapter or a flexible tubing link to connect the regulator barb to the humidifier inlet cap. Always ensure the click dial is securely locked into a precise number setting, as leaving the dial between clicks will cut off the oxygen flow entirely.

Compliance Standard:

FDA Class II Medical Device Regulations (21 CFR Part 807)

To ensure strict compliance with current FDA regulations, EnhDme enforces a rigorous prescription verification policy for specific restricted medical devices. Because federal law restricts these devices to sale by or on the order of a licensed healthcare provider, orders containing prescription-regulated equipment will remain on a compliance hold and will not be dispensed until a valid prescription is successfully received and verified by our compliance team.
