The MICiTECH 5-Liter Stationary Oxygen Concentrator (Model CP502) is a quiet, highly efficient medical air extraction system distributed by Compass Health Brands. Purpose-built to support patients undergoing long-term at-home oxygen therapy, this continuous-flow workhorse operates by vacuuming ambient room air through an optimized mechanical intake filter system, passing it over high-density lithium molecular sieve beds to extract nitrogen gas, and discharging a highly pure stream of medical-grade oxygen at 93% (3%) concentration.

Weighing 32 lbs, the CP502 is highly agile compared to older, bulky stationary concentrators and utilizes smooth-rolling universal caster wheels with integrated locking brakes for rapid room-to-room transit. The unit’s internal structure is powered by an advanced double-wobble oil-free compressor head, which lowers mechanical friction and system vibration. This design yields an operational noise volume below 50 dBA, making it excellent for night-time sleep therapy. Engineered with a durable, easy-to-sanitize composite cabinet, the CP502 features a high-visibility analog flow meter knob that locks seamlessly into 0.5 LPM incremental settings ranging from 0.5 up to a full 5.0 Liters Per Minute.

Design & Functional Features

  • Double-Wobble Compressor Technology: Reduces friction, lowers operational heat profiles, and optimizes motor alignment to guarantee stable performance during 24/7 continuous cycles.

  • Ultra-Quiet Decibel Shielding: Limits operational rumble to 50 dBA, allowing patients to sleep through night treatments without disruption.

  • Integrated Safety Alarm Matrix: Houses a continuous electronic microchip that tracks line pressure variations and triggers immediate audible/visual warning indicators if the unit experiences low oxygen purity (dropping below 82%), electrical power dropouts, or compressor over-pressurization.

  • Modular Multi-Stage Air Filtration: Designed with quick-access panels that allow caregivers to swap out cabinet pre-filters, internal intake filters, and dedicated in-line anti-bacterial barriers in seconds.

Important Product Characteristics

  • Auxiliary Bubble Humidifier Station: Includes a convenient built-in platform strap recess over the outlet nozzle to securely latch standard 500 mL bubble humidifier bottles, protecting the medical lines from kinking during continuous high-humidity treatments.

  • Fire Safety Awareness Notice: Pressurized oxygen creates an oxygen-enriched environment that accelerates the flame velocity of surrounding textiles. Never allow open fires, active matches, or smoking within 10 feet of the operating equipment. Never coat connection adapters or tubing pins with petroleum jellies or greasy skin lotions, as hydrocarbons react violently with concentrated oxygen gas.

  • Application Notice: The MICiTECH CP502 is a supplementary respiratory health system. It is explicitly notrated or built to act as a primary life-support system or an ICU-tier ventilator infrastructure.

    Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

What maintenance needs to be handled routinely by the patient on the CP502?

From the outside of the machine, maintenance is exceptionally simple. The rectangular black foam cabinet pre-filter located on the outer housing grid must be pulled out once a week, rinsed clean under warm running tap water, and left to air dry completely before re-insertion. The internal white compressor intake filter capsule should be checked every 3 to 6 months and swapped out completely whenever the paper medium begins to shift to a gray color.

Can I plug this unit into an extension cord or a shared power strip?

No. High-volume continuous oxygen concentrators utilize massive inductive compressor loads during their internal pressure-swing cycles. Plugs must be connected directly into a grounded, 3-prong wall outlet. Running the machine on an extension cord or overloading a shared multi-outlet power strip can cause voltage drops that trigger the device's electrical safety alarm, overheat your wall outlets, or damage the internal logic board.

What is the purpose of the yellow and red indicator lights on the display?

These lights communicate real-time oxygen purity output tracked by an internal ultrasonic sensor array. A solid green light indicates optimal purity above 85%. If the purity level sinks into a marginal boundary between 82% and 73%, the light switches to a yellow caution alert, indicating the molecular sieve beds require checking. If purity drops below 72%, the red light illuminates alongside a loud audible alarm, warning the user that the output gas is no longer clinically therapeutic.

Why is water building up inside my nasal cannula tubing when I run the machine?

This is a standard physical process called "rainout." If you are running an optional bubble humidifier bottle and your home's air conditioning is set to a cold temperature, the warm, moist oxygen gas coming out of the machine cools down rapidly inside the long tube lines, causing it to condense into visible water droplets. To fix this, either relocate the concentrator away from direct AC vents, adjust your home thermostat, or introduce an inline water-trap collector to capture moisture before it reaches your nose.

    Compliance Standard:

FDA Class II Medical Device Regulations (21 CFR Part 807)

To ensure strict compliance with current Food and Drug Administration (FDA) regulations, EnhDme enforces a rigorous prescription verification policy for specific restricted medical devices. Because federal law restricts these devices to sale by or on the order of a licensed healthcare provider, orders containing prescription-regulated equipment will remain on a compliance hold and will not be dispensed until a valid prescription is successfully received and verified by our compliance team.
