The Journey SoftSecure™ 360° Rotating Transfer Bench (Model 33322) is a medical-grade bathing aid built to take the danger out of stepping over a high tub wall. Designed for seniors, post-operative patients, and people with limited mobility, it lets the user sit down safely outside the tub and then glide smoothly over the threshold while seated – reducing fall risk and easing strain on caregivers.

The transfer system pairs a 360° rotating seat that locks at 90° intervals with a button-activated gliding rail for controlled, low-effort lateral movement. Two legs rest on the bathroom floor outside the tub and two sit inside the basin on non-slip rubber feet, while independent height-adjustable legs level the bench on uneven surfaces.

The lightweight, rust-resistant aluminum frame supports up to 300 lbs. Extra-wide seat and backrest cushions are made from non-slip, water-resistant foam with built-in Microban® antimicrobial protection that helps resist stains, odors, and the growth of mold and mildew on the padded surfaces. How does the sliding mechanism work?

The user sits down on the padded seat outside the edge of the tub, lifts their legs over the tub wall, presses the button near the safety armrest, and gently slides across the rail system into the bathing area. The seat locks back into position at the interior end of the track to stay stable during the shower.

Will this bench fit a standard bathroom layout?

Yes. The legs adjust independently in height for a level surface regardless of your floor-to-tub height difference. Two legs sit flat on the bathroom floor outside the tub, while the other two rest inside the tub basin on non-slip rubber feet to prevent shifting on wet porcelain or acrylic.

Are the seat drainage holes uncomfortable to sit on?
