The O2 Concepts Rechargeable Lithium-Ion Battery (SKU #800-1002S) is the official, original equipment manufacturer (OEM) replacement power cell engineered exclusively for the Oxlife Independence® Portable Oxygen Concentrator. Designed to deliver high-capacity, medical-grade power on the move, this smart battery pack allows users to confidently extend their travel windows, manage daily activities, and secure uninterrupted oxygen delivery away from wall outlets.

Featuring an intelligent, built-in dynamic LED "fuel gauge" indicator, users can check their exact remaining power level instantly with a single button press—even when the battery is completely disconnected from the machine. The physical casing is built with a sturdy, integrated nylon pull tab that allows for quick, smooth extraction and secure slot installation. The Oxlife Independence chassis features a dual-battery bay design. While the machine can operate perfectly on just a single battery, installing a second matching battery pack unlocks the device's full extended-runtime capacity and dual-charging capabilities.

⚠️ Important Shipping & Return Notice: Due to strict federal transportation regulations regarding standalone medical-grade Lithium-Ion power cells, all battery purchases are designated as Final Sale. Returns, exchanges, or open-box refunds cannot be accepted for this item. Please verify your concentrator model compatibility before checking out.

Standard System Package Inclusions:

Advanced Battery Performance Features

  • Dual-Battery Operation: Automatically shifts power draws seamlessly across two installed batteries, balancing depletion rates to maximize the lifespan of both cells.

  • On-Demand Power Gauge: Features a physical "Push" button with a clear 4-level LED stack (100%, 75%, 50%, 25%) for instant, standalone capacity verification.

  • Smart Internal Circuitry: Communicates directly with the concentrator's motherboard and AC/DC chargers to prevent overcharging, voltage surges, and heat generation during high-output continuous flow settings.

  • Rapid Hot-Swapping: Built-in nylon pull loop ensures comfortable, quick battery swaps without requiring tools or taking the mobility cart apart.

Technical Performance Matrix: Comprehensive Battery Runtimes

The runtime estimates below detail performance expectations for both Dual-Battery (2 Cells Loaded) and Single-Battery (1 Cell Loaded) setups. Runtimes are calculated based on an industry-standard average respiratory pattern of 20 breaths per minute.

Note: Individual clinical breathing rates and physiological demands will vary actual operational durations.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

Can I charge this battery outside of the Oxlife Independence machine?

No. This battery pack is designed to be charged directly while nested inside the battery bays of the Oxlife Independence unit itself. When your machine is plugged into an active AC wall outlet or a vehicle's DC adapter, the internal smart charging array will automatically replenish one or both batteries.

Do I need to remove the batteries when using wall power?

No, you do not need to take them out. When the Oxlife Independence is connected to an active external AC or DC power source, the device safely routes power past the batteries to run the oxygen compressor directly. Any surplus power is sent straight to the batteries to recharge them, stopping automatically the moment they reach full capacity.

How long does it take for a dead battery to reach a full charge?

Under normal conditions using the official AC home power supply, a single completely drained battery will fully recharge in roughly 1.5 hours. If you are charging two completely depleted batteries simultaneously inside the machine, it will typically take under 3 hours to restore both cells to 100% capacity.
