You're Not Alone — And You Shouldn't Have to Feel Ashamed

Millions of men live with incontinence in silence. There's a better way — and it starts with being treated with the dignity you've earned.

There's a moment that has stayed with me since we started EnhDme. I was walking through the incontinence aisle of a big box store — something I do regularly, to check what's new, compare products, stay sharp on what's out there. I rounded the corner and saw a man, older, with a veteran's hat on his head.

I always stop to thank veterans. Always. So I did what I always do — I caught his eye and said thank you for his service.

He couldn't look at me. He shuffled away.

"I stood there thinking: this man served his country. He earned every right to walk through any aisle, anywhere, head held high. And here he was — embarrassed. Not by me. By the aisle he was standing in."

That moment crystallized something I already felt deeply. Men — especially older men, veterans, men who have lived whole lives of quiet strength — deserve to manage their health without an audience. Without prying eyes. Without shame.

That's a big part of why EnhDme exists.

The Numbers Are Bigger Than Most People Know

Male incontinence isn't rare. It isn't unusual. It's simply not talked about — and that silence makes every man dealing with it feel like he's the only one.

He isn't.

Among men over 65, more than 1 in 5 experience urinary incontinence — and in the oldest men, that number climbs to nearly 1 in 3. For men 75 and older, the prevalence of moderate to severe incontinence reaches 16% — and rises steadily with each decade.

And yet most men never say a word about it. Two thirds of men and women view urinary incontinence as shameful, and 70% of people with the condition never seek help for it at all.

Over half of people managing incontinence report feeling embarrassed — and some say they would rather discuss it with an AI chatbot than a pharmacist in person. The shame surrounding incontinence also shapes how people shop for the products they need.

That last part matters a lot to us here at EnhDme.

Shopping Shouldn't Feel Like a Walk of Shame

The incontinence aisle in a big box store is a public place. Bright lights. Other shoppers. Cashiers who ring up your items. It's fine for some people. For many men — especially older men, men who grew up in a generation that didn't discuss these things — it's a gauntlet.

Stigma creates stress, and then worsens people's ability to deal with the stressful situation. It can lead people to stop living their normal lives, leaving the house, and going about their day-to-day activities.

We believe that's unacceptable. You shouldn't have to weigh your need for a product against the discomfort of being seen buying it.

EnhDme was built to fix exactly that. We ship directly to your door — discreetly, professionally, and with real people on the other end who know these products and treat you with respect. No prying eyes. No shuffling away from anyone.

A New Kind of Brief — Designed for Men, Not for Children

Here's the other part of the problem: most men who do try incontinence products hate how they look and feel. Bulky. Padded. Obvious under clothing. More like something for an infant than for a grown man who has lived a full life.

That's why we were genuinely excited when McKesson introduced their Premium Discreet Men's Underwear line. These are not your grandfather's briefs. They are trim, comfortable, and designed to look and feel like real underwear — because that's exactly what men deserve.

If you're not sure which absorbency level is right, the Heavy line handles moderate daily leakage well. The Maximum series is built for heavier or more frequent incontinence. Either way, the fit and discretion are the same — designed to move with you, not announce themselves.
