Model: CARLO Alu Classic and Comfort EP Floor Lifts (185 and 230 kg)

Availability: In Stock – Ready to Ship

An All-Aluminum Electric Floor Lift With Power-Spreading Legs and a 360° Carry Bar

The BEKA Hospitec CARLO Alu is an electric mobile floor lift for full-body transfers, built with an aluminum chassis, lifting column and components. A 24-volt LINAK drive raises and lowers the carry bar all the way down to floor level, so the lift can be used for floor recoveries as well as bed, chair, commode and bath transfers. The legs spread electrically from the hand control, and the carry bar rotates a full 360° with an anti-rotation mechanism that keeps the person from swinging during a transfer.

The cable hand control shows battery charge, fault diagnostics and service reminders, and dual controls on the lift let caregivers operate it from the control box as a backup. The removable 24 V battery charges on board, in about four hours. An emergency stop cuts power to the motors immediately, and a mechanical emergency lowering system lets the caregiver lower the person slowly if the power fails. The lift rolls on four double casters, two with brakes. It is available as the Classic or the Comfort EP, each in 185 kg (408 lb) or 230 kg (507 lb) capacity, with an optional factory-fitted scale, and the 185 models also come with a low chassis.

Classic or Comfort EP: Which Model Do You Need?

CARLO Alu Classic uses a 6-point carry bar (a wide 6-point bar on the 230) and takes loop slings only. It is the straightforward choice for everyday full-body transfers.

CARLO Alu Comfort EP adds an Electrical Positioning System: the EP carry bar tilts the person between a sitting and a lying position from the hand control, which helps when moving to a bed, stretcher or bath. It takes clip slings only.

Loop and clip slings are not interchangeable, so match the sling to the model. Both models come in 185 kg (408 lb) and 230 kg (507 lb) capacities, with or without a factory-fitted calibrated patient scale, and the 185 models are also available with a low chassis for lower beds, stretchers and furniture.

Equipment Specialist Insight: Start with the sling style the care team already uses: loop slings need the Classic, and clip slings need the Comfort EP. Choose the Comfort EP if the user often needs to be tilted back toward lying, for example onto a stretcher or into a bath. Pick the 230 for users over 185 kg (408 lb); its base is longer and opens wider, so check doorways and turning space. Choose a low chassis if the bed, stretcher or furniture has little clearance underneath. The scale version weighs the person during the transfer, without a separate scale. Plan for an annual safety check, as BEKA requires.

Which capacity do I need?
