Gentell Aquasite Hydrogel Impregnated Gauze 4 x 4 in
A Sterile, Moist Gauze Dressing for Minimally Draining Wounds
Some wounds need moisture added rather than drawn away. Gentell Aquasite® Hydrogel Impregnated Gauze is a 4" x 4" pad of 100% cotton USP Type VII gauze that comes saturated with hydrogel, so it’s ready to place without mixing or applying a separate gel. On wounds with little drainage, it helps provide a moist wound environment.
Because the gauze is already impregnated, it can also be used as a sterile moist packing for full-thickness wounds. Each pad is sterile and not made with natural rubber latex. Buy a single dressing to try it, or a box of 10 for routine dressing changes at home, in a clinic, or in a care facility.
Key Features
- Hydrogel impregnated: gauze comes pre-saturated with hydrogel, ready to apply.
- 100% cotton USP Type VII gauze: woven cotton pad as the hydrogel carrier.
- Moist dressing: helps provide a moist wound environment on minimally draining wounds.
- Moist packing: can be used where a sterile moist packing is needed for full-thickness wounds.
- Sterile: ready for direct application.
- Latex-free: not made with natural rubber latex.
- Two pack sizes: sold individually or in a box of 10.
Hydrogel gauze adds moisture, so it’s meant for wounds with little or no drainage. A wound that’s draining heavily usually calls for an absorbent dressing instead. Aquasite is a primary dressing, so plan on a secondary cover dressing to hold it in place. If you’re changing dressings daily, the box of 10 is the better value. Follow the dressing plan from the treating clinician.

What kind of wound is hydrogel gauze for?
Aquasite® is made for minimally draining wounds, where it helps provide a moist wound environment. It can also be used as a sterile moist packing for full-thickness wounds. Your clinician will tell you whether it fits the wound you’re caring for.
Do I need a second dressing over it?
Yes. Aquasite® goes directly on the wound, so cover it with a secondary dressing, such as a gauze pad or bordered cover dressing, and secure it as directed by the treating clinician.
Should I buy one or a box?
A single dressing is handy for trying it or for an occasional change. For regular dressing changes, the box of 10 keeps a supply on hand.
