A 700 lb Aluminum Bariatric Floor Lift With a 360° Carry Bar and Gait Support Bars

The Handicare FGA-700 is an electric bariatric floor lift rated to 700 lbs, built from aluminum. It lifts from the floor and has a wide lifting range of 25.2 to 76.4 inches on the standard base, and the mast has three height settings to suit the room and the transfer. A four-point double carry bar turns 360° so the caregiver can position the person precisely, and support bars for gait and walking practice swing out of the way when they are not needed.

The base widens and narrows to fit around chairs and commodes, from 30.1 to 46.8 inches outside the legs on the standard base. The Low Base version sits lower, with legs just 4.1 inches high at the top, to fit under beds with less clearance. Each base is also available with Handicare QRS, a quick-release sling attachment that uses spring-loaded clips to secure the sling straps. The lift runs on a 24 V sealed lead-acid battery with an integrated charger, rated for about 30 lifts at 700 lbs or 60 lifts at 350 lbs per charge, and its control box records usage data for tracking and reporting. The standard lift weighs 161 lbs and the Low Base 141 lbs.

Delivery and Setup Options

Choose how you would like your FGA-700 delivered when you order:

  • Dock-to-dock delivery — delivered to your business or facility loading dock. A loading dock is required.
  • Curbside delivery to your home or business — arrives on a liftgate truck and is lowered to the curb.
  • White glove setup — if you would like help with unpacking and setup, see our White Glove Setup Service.

Equipment Specialist Insight: Choose the base by the bed: the standard base measures 6.1″ to the top of the legs and the Low Base 4.1″, so measure the clearance under the bed frame before ordering. The FGA-700 is 59″ long with a turning radius of about 63″, so check doorways and turning space for a lift this size. Choose QRS if you want quick-release sling attachment; confirm sling compatibility with us before ordering. The battery is rated for a 10% use, 90% rest duty cycle, so plan charging around how often the lift is used. Depending on the user’s assessment, two or more caregivers may be needed.
