A Manual Stand-and-Ride Transfer Platform for Short Moves Around the Home or Facility
The Handicare Mover Plus is a manual, non-powered transfer platform for short moves between a bed, chair, wheelchair or toilet. It is for users who can stand on their own or with a little help. The user steps onto the low, non-slip platform, rests their shins against the large padded shin supports and pulls up to standing using the solid crossbar. Once they are upright, the split seat cushions fold down behind them so they can sit while the caregiver wheels the Mover Plus to the new spot, then the cushions fold up again so the user can stand and sit down.
The platform is non-slip marine plywood, and the frame rolls on double front casters and braked rear casters that hold it still while the user stands and sits. It measures 37 by 25.2 inches, is rated to 330 lbs (150 kg) and weighs 65 lbs. There is no battery, motor or sling, so it is always ready to use.
