The Handicare SlingBar is a two-point sling bar that connects the sling to a Handicare mobile lift or ceiling lift. It is made of aluminum and rated for 660 lbs (300 kg). Each of the two lift hooks has a safety latch that keeps the sling straps from slipping out of the bar.
The width of the bar sets how much room the user has in the sling. The S (35 cm, 13.8 in) suits children, slim users and gait training. The M (45 cm, 17.7 in) is the SystemRoMedic standard and suits most transfers. The L (60 cm, 23.6 in) gives more room inside the sling, for users who are broad-shouldered or larger, or who are sensitive to pressure from the sling.
