Overview

The fixed-height Med-Mizer ActiveCare brings the same signature feature as the rest of the line β€” OneButtonSafeTurn β€” at a more approachable price. One touch of the remote and the bed does the turning itself: rotating the sleep surface to help change position, or bringing the user around toward the edge so getting out of bed becomes a much shorter, steadier journey. The work that normally takes real physical effort becomes a button press.

This version keeps the deck at a set height rather than raising and lowering, which simplifies the bed and brings the cost down considerably β€” a sensible trade when the height doesn't need to change for caregiving. It's available in 36-inch or 42-inch widths on an 80-inch length, and a matched set of head and foot boards is included at no extra cost in your choice of three warm wood finishes β€” Hayward Cherry, Rift Oak, or Obsidian Oak β€” so the bed arrives looking like furniture rather than equipment. Choose your width and board finish below.

Sizes

  • 80β€³ Γ— 36β€³ β€” standard width.
  • 80β€³ Γ— 42β€³ β€” expanded width.

Included Head & Foot Boards β€” Choose Your Finish

A matched set of head and foot boards comes included with your bed. Choose from three finishes:

  • Hayward Cherry β€” warm and traditional.
  • Rift Oak β€” light and contemporary.
  • Obsidian Oak β€” deep and modern.

Complete Your Bed

1. Choose your mattressREQUIRED

The ActiveCare does not include a mattress β€” you choose the surface that suits how the bed will be used. Match the width to your bed (36β€³ or 42β€³).

  • Standard Mattress β€” Deluxe, Elite, or StatMat β€” Deluxe multi-layered pressure-relieving foam, Elite gel-infused memory foam that contours closely and sleeps cooler, or StatMat, a self-adjusting air/foam hybrid that responds to movement with no pump or power.
  • Alternating Pressure Air Mattress Set β€” powered therapy that continuously cycles which areas carry the load. Ordered for right or left exiting to match the side of the bed used for getting in and out.

2. Add bed rails or a mobility barOPTIONAL

Choose a hand-hold and edge setup around what's actually helpful at the bedside.

  • Bed Rails & Mobility Bars β€” quarter-length bolt-on or three-position side rails in charcoal, mobility bars for a solid grip when sitting up and getting out, and foot side rails. Mobility bars and foot side rails are side-specific.

Key Features

  • OneButtonSafeTurn β€” one touch rotates the surface to assist with turning and getting out of bed.
  • One-touch remote operation.
  • Fixed deck height β€” a simpler, more affordable build.
  • Two widths β€” 36β€³ or 42β€³, both 80β€³ long.
  • Matched head and foot board set included β€” no extra cost.
  • Three board finishes β€” Hayward Cherry, Rift Oak, Obsidian Oak.

Equipment Specialist Insight: This is the value entry into the ActiveCare line, and the decision between it and the height-adjustable version is worth thinking through honestly. You keep the feature that matters most β€” the powered turn assist, which takes the hardest, most physically demanding part of daily care and hands it to the bed. What you give up is the ability to raise and lower the deck. That matters if a caregiver works at the bedside often and needs the surface at a comfortable working height to save their back, or if you want it dropped low for easier access getting in and out. If neither of those is a daily concern, the fixed-height model delivers the same turning assistance for meaningfully less. One nice simplification here: the matched head and foot board set is included, so you just pick the finish that suits the room and you're done β€” no separate board order, no wondering how many you need. The mattress is chosen separately β€” start with the standard Deluxe, Elite, or StatMat surfaces, and step up to the alternating pressure air set if powered therapy is wanted.

What does OneButtonSafeTurn do?

One touch of the remote rotates the sleep surface β€” helping change position in bed, or bringing the user around toward the edge so getting out of bed is easier and takes far less effort from a caregiver.

How is this different from the height-adjustable ActiveCare?

Both have the same OneButtonSafeTurn turning assistance. This model keeps the deck at a fixed height, which makes it more affordable. The height-adjustable version raises and lowers β€” useful if a caregiver needs the bed at a comfortable working height or you want it low for easier access.

Are the head and foot boards included?

Yes. A matched set of head and foot boards is included with the bed at no extra cost β€” just choose your finish: Hayward Cherry, Rift Oak, or Obsidian Oak.

Does it include a mattress?

No β€” a mattress is required and selected separately so you can match the surface to your needs. Choose a standard Deluxe, Elite, or StatMat surface, or the alternating pressure air set for powered therapy. Match the width to your bed.

White Glove Delivery & Setup (Optional)

Because the ActiveCare is large, heavy, and arrives partially assembled, we offer optional White Glove delivery and setup. The team brings the bed inside to the room of your choice, fully assembles it, installs your head and foot boards, tests all of the electric functions, and removes the packaging β€” so it's ready to use the moment they leave. Add White Glove Delivery & Setup to your order, or contact us and we'll be glad to arrange it for you.

Mattress not included and required; bed rails are optional and sold separately. Retail packaging and specifications may be updated by the manufacturer without notice. This is a large, heavy freight item; delivery and setup assistance is recommended. Please confirm your width, board finish, and mattress size before ordering, and always follow the manufacturer's instructions.
