Overview

The Med-Mizer Med-Riser 600 is a fully electric full-body lift with a genuinely broad range of uses β€” rated to 600 lbs, with both the lift and the base powered. The boom raises and lowers under electric control, and the base legs open and close with a button rather than a foot pedal, so a caregiver keeps both hands on the person and stays in control throughout the transfer. Built-in controls sit on both the hand pendant and the control box, with onboard charging and service indicators, so it's ready and operable whenever it's needed.

Two features give it real versatility. A six-point spreader cradle with enhanced width spreads the sling to improve comfort during transfers, turning, repositioning, and hygiene needs. And an exceptionally long lift arm β€” paired with a very high lift height β€” positions the person farther from the mast for a more natural, comfortable lift, places them toward the center of a bed during transfers, and reaches high enough to bring someone to a standing position for gait training and rehab when used with an ambulation sling. A reinforced push handle with a kick-and-push support bar gives caregivers solid leverage, dual 4-inch casters roll smoothly, and Med-Mizer's Sure-Safe-Lift system adds a safety layer for both the person and the caregiver. A sling is selected separately, and an optional scale can be added to weigh at the point of care.

Optional Scale

Med-Riser 600 Digital ScaleOPTIONAL

Add the integrated digital scale to weigh at the point of care during a transfer β€” no separate move onto a floor or chair scale. Add it as an option with your lift.

Compatible Accessory

Med-Mizer Gait Training BarACCESSORY

The Gait Training Bar attaches to the Med-Riser 600 and creates a stable, supported framework for standing rehabilitation and gait training β€” turning the lift into a full rehab tool, not just a transfer device. Pair with an ambulation sling (sold separately). View the Gait Training Bar β†’

Equipment Specialist Insight: The Med-Riser 600 is the most versatile of the Med-Riser lifts, and the reason is the lift arm and height. Because it reaches so high β€” and positions the person out away from the mast β€” it does something most floor lifts can't: with an ambulation sling it can bring someone up to a standing position and support them for gait training and rehab, not just move them from A to B. That makes it a strong choice for a setting doing therapy, not only transfers. Note the spreader difference across the range: the 600 uses a six-point cradle (wider sling spread, more positioning comfort), while the top-capacity 1000 uses a four-point bar. The powered base β€” a button instead of a foot pedal β€” keeps a caregiver's hands on the person, and the kick/push bar is built for leverage during the move. Two ordering notes: the sling is separate, and the style matters more here than usual β€” you'll want an ambulation sling specifically if gait training is the goal, and a full-body sling for standard transfers. The integrated scale is a worthwhile add if weights are tracked. It ships as a freight item; plan for delivery.

Can it be used for gait training?

Yes. Its very high lift height and long arm can bring someone up to a standing position, and with an ambulation sling it supports gait training and rehab exercises β€” not just transfers.

How does the 600 differ from the 1000?

The 600 uses a 6-point spreader cradle (wider sling spread and positioning comfort) and reaches a very high lift height suited to gait training. The 1000 steps up to a 1000 lb capacity with a 4-point bar. Choose the 600 for versatility and rehab use, the 1000 for maximum capacity.

Is a sling included?

No β€” a sling is selected separately. Match the style to the task: an ambulation sling for gait training, or a full-body sling for standard transfers. Confirm the sling's weight rating.

A sling is sold separately. Retail packaging and specifications may be updated by the manufacturer without notice. This is a large, heavy item; ensure proper sling selection, fit, and weight rating, train caregivers on safe operation, and always follow the manufacturer's instructions.
