A Nylex-Covered Foam Mattress Built for Cribs
The Medline Nylex Crib Mattress pairs a foam core with a Nylex cover, giving a crib a uniform sleep surface with a covering made for regular wipe-down between uses. It comes from Medline’s line of Nylex covered foam crib mattresses, a range built in multiple sizes so the mattress can be matched to the crib it will sit in.
This version has squared corners, which lets the mattress sit square against the corners of a crib frame built with right-angle corners. It measures 28" x 4" x 8" as listed by Medline. Confirm that size against your crib’s interior before ordering.
Key Features
- Foam core — a uniform foam sleep surface
- Nylex cover — a covered mattress rather than bare foam
- Squared corners — sized to sit square in a crib frame with right-angle corners
- Part of a multi-size line — Medline offers its Nylex crib mattresses in several sizes and corner styles
Product Specialist Insight: With replacement crib mattresses, fit matters more than anything else. Measure the inside of the crib frame and check the corner shape before choosing a size. A squared-corner mattress belongs in a frame with square corners, while frames with rounded corners call for a rounded-corner mattress. A mattress that leaves gaps at the sides or corners is the wrong size for that crib. If you are replacing an existing mattress, the simplest check is to match the old mattress’s measurements and corner style exactly.

Frequently Asked Questions
How do I know this mattress will fit my crib?
Measure the interior length and width of the crib frame and compare them with the listed size of 28" x 4" x 8". Also check that your crib has square corners, since this mattress uses a squared-corner design. If you are replacing a mattress, match the old one’s measurements and corner style.
What is the difference between squared and rounded corners?
The corner style should match the crib frame. A squared-corner mattress sits flush in a frame with right-angle corners, and a rounded-corner mattress is made for frames with curved corners. Medline offers its Nylex crib mattresses in both styles.
How should I care for the mattress?
Follow the cleaning instructions on the manufacturer’s label for the Nylex cover, and inspect the cover regularly. Replace the mattress if the cover becomes torn or damaged.
