The Span America PressureGuard Easy Air is a complete powered mattress system: a 7-inch mattress, a compact control unit and a washable coverlet. Air moves through the mattress to provide low-air-loss microclimate management, and an alternating pressure mode shifts the load across the surface on a 15-minute cycle. A Float mode offers powered flotation, and a Max Immersion setting gives an ultra-soft surface for users under 120 lbs. The system supports users up to 500 lbs across all sizes.
The air system sits inside an engineered foam shell, and a Safety Edge bolster along the sides is designed to resist collapsing when someone sits on the edge or transfers in and out of bed. A timed 30-minute Auto Firm mode firms the surface for transfers, repositioning and daily care. The mattress holds its inflation during a power interruption or while the bed is moved. The control unit draws less than 15 watts, includes a lockout to prevent accidental changes, and shows a normal/low pressure indicator. The zippered outer coverlet is vapor-permeable, machine-launderable and wipes clean with hospital-grade cleaners.
