The Chariot IV XTC-RC Series represents ProActive Medical's top-of-the-line hybrid platform. This series takes the premium, high-strength ultra-lightweight architecture of the K4 XTC line (designed to compete directly with high-end models like the Drive Viper) and integrates a specialized hydraulic reclining backrest assembly.
The defining clinical advantage of the XTC-RC is its ability to transition from a standard upright configuration down to a deep reclined position, helping users distribute pressure and change body orientation effortlessly. Unlike traditional heavy steel reclining units, the high-strength aluminum/alloy hybrid frame cuts down on physical lifting and propulsion weight. It comes paired with tool-free Elevating Legrests (ELR), dual-purpose Removable Flip-Back Arms (available in Desk or Full Length) for easy lateral transfers, an adjustable seat depth extension (16" to 18"), rear anti-tippers, and flat-free urethane wheels.
