A Zoned Foam Mattress With a Geo-Matt Top and a Firm Edge for Sitting and Transfers
The Span America Geo-Mattress Pro FP is the firm-perimeter version of the Geo-Mattress Pro, a 6-inch non-powered foam mattress. A firmer edge along the sides gives a steadier surface to sit on at the side of the bed and to move from during transfers. The mattress is a single layer of zoned foam with a Geo-Matt segmented top of more than 800 individually articulating cells, arranged in head, torso and foot zones, which conform to the body to help redistribute pressure. Ring-of-Air channels around the cells help carry heat and moisture away.
A tapered heel slope at the foot end is designed to shift load from the heels onto the lower legs. The cover is fluid-proof, wipe-clean and bacteriostatically treated, with an ultra-low moisture vapor transmission rate (MVTR) and a hidden zipper. The Pro FP supports users up to 300 lbs, weighs about 21 lbs, and comes in four 35-inch-wide lengths: 75, 78, 80 and 84 inches.

Equipment Specialist Insight: Choose the FP when the user sits on the side of the bed to dress or eat, or transfers in and out of bed regularly; the firmer edge gives a steadier base than a soft foam edge. If raised sides that define the edge of the sleep surface are wanted instead, see the Geo-Mattress Pro RP. Measure the bed deck and choose the length that fills it. Clean the cover with a damp cloth and a facility-approved disinfectant, air dry for 20–30 minutes, and never immerse the mattress or launder the cover.
