A Carbon Fiber Rollator That Converts to a Power Wheelchair and Transport Chair
The SuperPi W1 is a 4-in-1 mobility aid built on a monocoque carbon fiber frame. It works as a power wheelchair steered by joystick, a power-assisted transport chair pushed by a companion, a rollator walker, and a rehabilitation walker. Instead of keeping a separate wheelchair and walker, the user can switch between walking with support and riding, using the mode switch on the integrated control panel. Dual 140W brushless motors give a top speed of 3.73 mph, with five speed settings.
In the walking modes, power assist starts only when sensors under the handles detect both hands gripping firmly (Grip to Go), and the electromagnetic brakes engage as soon as either hand lets go (Release to Stop). Automatic descent control limits speed going downhill, uphill power assist helps on inclines, and an ambidextrous manual hand brake is there as well. The handlebars adjust up to 270 mm in height. A removable 24V 6.6Ah lithium battery with a security lock gives up to 7.46 miles of range and charges in about 4.5 hours. It comes in Red or Graphite Silver. The W1 weighs 32.85 lbs without the battery, folds to 26.57 × 33.27 × 10.24 inches, and supports users up to 264.6 lbs.

Equipment Specialist Insight: Set the handlebar height before the first walk so the user stands upright with elbows slightly bent; it adjusts up to 270 mm. Remember that power assist only runs while both hands grip the handles, and the chair stops as soon as one hand lets go, so practice starting and stopping in a clear area first. Check the 264.6 lb weight limit and the 8° maximum slope against the routes the user takes. Range depends on rider weight, terrain and speed setting, so charge the battery fully before longer outings. If travelling by air, check the battery rules with the airline before booking. IPX4 means splash resistance only: avoid puddles and heavy rain.
