A Four-Direction Sliding Drawsheet for Turning and Moving Up the Bed
The SystemRoMedic WendyLett4Way is a sliding drawsheet with an anti-friction underside that lies on top of a WendyLett sliding sheet. Together they let caregivers slide the user both sideways and up or down the bed, as the checked pattern indicates, so one sheet can be used for turning, moving a user higher up the bed and smaller position changes. It is designed mainly for large, heavy or fully dependent users.
Choose from four styles. 1637 (140 × 200 cm) and 1647 (200 × 200 cm) are the standard drawsheets, rated to 660 lbs (300 kg). 1657 (140 × 190 cm) adds seven handles along each long side for a firmer grip, and the handles on one side can be hooked to a two-point lift sling bar for lift-assisted turning. 1649 Inco (140 × 120 cm) has the same handles with a soft, highly absorbent top layer for users who need incontinence protection. The handled styles are rated to 440 lbs (200 kg).

Equipment Specialist Insight: Place a WendyLett sliding sheet smooth side up in the middle of the bed and the 4Way on top, using the tag to tell which side faces up. To move the user higher up the bed, grip the sheet at shoulder level, stand in a walking stance and step backwards; fold part of the sheet double under the seat to stop them sliding back down when sitting up. For lift-assisted turning with 1657, hook two handles on one side only to a two-point sling bar, and never lift with the handles on both sides. The 1649 cannot be tucked under the mattress, so keep the bed rails raised. Check the user’s weight against the rating of the style you choose.

Frequently Asked Questions
Which style should I choose?
1637 and 1647 are the standard sheets, in two sizes. Choose 1657 if caregivers want handles or plan to turn the user with a lift. Choose 1649 Inco for users who need an absorbent layer.
Can it be used with a patient lift?
Yes, the 1657 can. Hook two handles on one side only to a two-point sling bar and raise it gradually to turn the user onto their side. Never lift with handles on both sides, and don’t use it as a lifting sling.
Is the Inco version waterproof?
The 1649 has a soft, highly absorbent top layer for incontinence protection. The manufacturer describes it as absorbent, not waterproof.
How do I wash it?
Follow the care label. Don’t use fabric softener or rinse aid, and hang dry or tumble dry on low heat.
