A Battery-Powered Patient Lift With an Adjustable-Width Base
The VOCIC AY05 Electric Transfer Hoyer Lift is a sling-style patient lift for moving a person between a bed, wheelchair, chair or commode, and for helping caregivers raise someone from the floor. A 120W, 6000N electric actuator does the lifting with a soft start and stop, so caregivers do not have to bear the person’s weight. It supports up to 330 lbs with a lifting range of 29.5 to 61 inches.
The control system is all-in-one: a rechargeable 22.2V lithium battery is built in, with no separate battery box or external power supply needed during use, and it delivers about 40 lifts per full charge at maximum load. A low-battery alert, overcharge protection, emergency stop and manual lowering release are built in. The base adjusts from about 24.4 to 38.2 inches wide to straddle a chair or wheelchair, and the lift rolls quietly on 3-inch front and 4-inch rear casters with rear brakes. An adjustable, machine-washable mesh sling and a storage bag are included.

Product Specialist Insight: The AY05’s adjustable-width base is what makes chair and wheelchair transfers practical: widen the legs to straddle the chair, then narrow them again to fit through doorways. Mesh slings are lighter and dry faster than solid fabric, which suits frequent use and toileting transfers. Make sure the sling fits the user, and have a physical or occupational therapist show caregivers how to position it. Keep the battery charged, learn where the emergency stop and manual lowering release are before the first use, and if someone has fallen and may be injured, check for injury or call for medical help before lifting them.
