Overview
The Med-Mizer RETRACT-V is a full-electric low bed built around one genuinely clever idea: instead of pushing the head section forward as it rises, the entire sleep deck gently retracts toward the wall. That "wall-hugging" motion keeps whoever is in bed within easy reach of a nightstand — a glass of water, a phone, the TV remote — without stretching or twisting. Paired with an ultra-low 9-inch deck height, it makes getting in and out, and staying comfortable while sitting up, noticeably easier.
It adapts to the room and the person at the touch of a button. The ComfortWide frame expands from 35 to 39 to 42 inches wide with no tools, the deck raises from 9 up to 25 inches for comfortable caregiving, and a Clinical-Contour setting raises the head and knee together to keep the body from sliding toward the foot. An Evac Position narrows the bed to pass through doorways under 36 inches, soft non-marking wall bumpers and a backlit pendant with staff lockout come standard, and the whole bed folds upright into roughly four square feet for storage.
